NY-City

End of October, in the heat of the election comic strip, Karen & I travel to NYC.Timing is just perfect, right in the middle of an exceptional Indian Summer! Central Park is a lovely start for a walk & a bike tour. Many others will follow. Chelsea, Harlem, High Line, Brooklyn, Korean area….Some of them were inspired by the ‘yellow book’ of Patrick van Rosendaal.A Belgian guide based in NYC and founder of BENY.His credo: “come as a Belgian, leave as a New Yorker” We also met one of the best airbnb hosts ever, Guy & Velvet. Next to the WTC …

Central Park

Not the only one in NYC, but probably the best known. This park is a true blessing, lungs of green in the middle of steel and concrete. At Strawberry fields, the Lennon memorial, we got spoiled by a choir of youngsters singing their best. (video see below)At Bethesda terrasse was a young lady performing with a voice that made you shiver. Open air opera. Remember this was late October and thanks to the Indian Summer we had an extraordinary time.

VEBEKE FOUNDATION

Photo’s are all taken at the Verbeke Foundation.12 hectares of scenic area and 20000m2 of covered exhibition space. If you enjoy nature & love art, i strongly advise you to visit this. Extract from the official flyer Our exhibition space does not aim to be an oasis. Our presentation is unfinished, in motion, unpolished, contradictory, untidy, complex, inharmonious, living and un-monumental, like the world outside the museum walls. You will find no flamboyant sensational buildings here, but rather a refreshing, unpretentious place to look at art and a subtle criticism of the art world. (Tom Ronse)

ABC Salamanca

Strolling around Salamanca we stumbled upon an ABC film scene. This meant that we couldn’t enter the cathedral as there was a shooting going on. But in return i got to photograph some of the beautifully dressed walk-ons. Local people were tailor dressed for this production. Update: Still Star-crossed, a sequel to William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, got cancelled by ABC already after one season.

España

Another photo serie went online today! Pictures are taken during a road trip in May 2016 from the north of Spain to the south. The variety in nature, the cultural richness and the beauty of the country as such really surprised me.Spain has so much more to offer than his beautiful seasides only! With every kilometer driven your horizon changes…. Enjoy! Link to portfolio : España
