It’s actually our second stay. Karen discovered this little gem back in 2017 and we cherish warm memories. Since we didn’t planned this year a lot in advance, post covid remember, we decided to give them a call. BINGO! Luck was on our side, they still had a room left for the next couple of days.
It was a warm reunion with the house chef, Dario.
Every evening he cooks a delicious meal with fresh local ingredients in his open cucina. It is actually very handy to have diner at La Bandita because of the location. You have to drive 3 km uphill on a dirt road to get there. The dirt road to the villa in itself is a jewel. Winding uphill lined with cypress trees, it is an oft-photographed piece of nature

Who dreams of Toscany, thinks of olive oil, vineyards, scenic roads, ‘automobiles’ and of course a FIAT 500! I always wanted to drive one of those cinquecento’s and at downtown Pienza you have a local rental company Vintage Tours with ancient Vespa’s, Lambrettas and vintage cars. The Nuova turned out to be the perfect companion to enjoy the neighbourhood. 490kg, open roof, 13HP and lots of FUN!
