About an hour driving from Garachico. Our first stop is the Auditorio de Tenerife. Unmistakably a building designed by Santiago Calatrava.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" src=\"http:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3117-1920x1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7742\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3117.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3117-305x203.jpg 305w, https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3117-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><figcaption>Auditorio de Tenerife &#8220;Ad\u00e1n Mart\u00edn&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#515c60\" class=\"has-text-color\">It&#8217;s massive yet elegant at the same time. The semi-arch suspended over the building is a technical masterpiece. Like almost every building by Calatrava, this one too got criticised because of various structural problems and budget increase. We have seen multiple buildings of his hand and i must admit, they are all stunning.  What I honestly don&#8217;t understand, why on earth do you build such a building for barely 1 million inhabitants? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" src=\"http:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3145-1920x1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7751\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3145.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3145-305x203.jpg 305w, https:\/\/nopictures.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_3145-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"color:#515c60\" class=\"has-text-color\">Within the blink of an eye, we decided to take a guided tour of the building. Both concert halls are just awesome. I loved the color of the fabric of the seats. The main hall with its lovely designed organ is mind blowing. The shape of the ceiling is reminiscent of a star or a crown. <br \/>One day we should definitely return to enjoy a concert.
